A Match Made In Heaven

So Abby came home from school yesterday a little distraught. Apparently her best friend - she of course said her BFF - broke up with her yesterday.

"What do you mean broke up?" I had to ask.

"On the playground she said she didn't want to play what I was playing. She said she had another friend."

I'm quickly realizing how dramatic girls are, but I didn't want to downplay it so I simply said, "Well, Abby. I know that's hard and it makes you sad, but if you give it some time, I bet you'll be best friends again soon."

But she said she was OK because she also had a new BFF.

"And let me give you a tip," she said. "When you want a best friend it's good to know all about them. If they like pants or skirts, for example. And my new friend and I have a lot in common."

"Oh really. Like what?"

"We both have brown eyes. And we like milk."

I suppose some relationships have been built on less.
